Update: HPA I building to partially reopen Wednesday


Update: A new UCF Alert sent to students on Tuesday, Oct. 18, announced partial reopening of The Health and Public Affairs I building on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

All classes that normally take place in the HPA I building will resume Wednesday, however some may take place in a different location.

For those rooms that remain closed, emails will be sent to faculty and students with information on where they should report for class.

Labs in room 250 and classrooms 116, 117, 246 and 272 will reopen Thursday, Oct. 20.

Most offices will reopen Wednesday, with the exception of rooms 244b, 245, 247, 248, 249, 251 and 252, which will reopen Thursday. Offices in rooms 334 to 360 will remain closed as well on Wednesday, and may reopen next week.

Students with labs normally scheduled in room 250 are to contact the Physical Therapy office for more information on classroom relocation.

Update: According to a UCF Alert sent out to students, The Health and Public Affairs I will remain closed Tuesday, Oct. 18, for continued assessment of fire damage.

All classes scheduled in HPA I are cancelled and faculty won’t be able to access their offices. According to UCF Today, faculty that does not have an alternative work space will be paid for missed work hours.

The Health and Public Affairs I building will be closed all day Monday as UCF continues to assess the damage from a Sunday morning fire.

All classes normally held in HPA I are canceled Monday and faculty will not have access to offices in the building.

Any employees scheduled to work in HPA I are to coordinate with their supervisors to see if work is available in other buildings.

The building may be open and operating normally Tuesday, according to an email sent through the UCF Alert system.
